Some love him, some hate him. The soft spoken Texas born fashion designer may have the loudest voice in men’s fashion today. I hold him personally responsible for inspiring my favourite fall trend: the peak lapel. His Tom Ford brand name has expanded tremendously since inception and now includes a full line of apparel for men and women, sunglasses, eyeglasses, bags, shoes, and you can’t forget his cash cow; fragrances. But you can’t talk about Tom Ford without mentioning his controversial advertising campaigns. Like this one…
Yep, thats some cologne. It’s easy for the marketing to cover for hollow products, the trouble is that it’s hard to fault Tom Ford. It would be easy to write it all off to gimmick, but the colognes smell good, the cashmere is soft, the shoes are flawless and the suits fit incredible. Bottom line, love him or hate him, Tom Ford says what’s in style or not and we’re okay with it.

To be clear, we’re talking about Ryan Gosling of 2011 vintage. Gosling represents Canada nicely with his casual nonchalant approach to suiting. Hailing from Conwall ON, Canada. He is an unlikely movie star with A-List written all over him.

His latest movie Crazy Stupid Love is essentially a showcase of sartorial greatness. Don’t get weighed down by things like writing, acting or plot-lines. This are mere distractions to the fantastic costume design. Men, offer to take your girlfriends as a surprise date. Then, she owes you one and you can finally go see Cowboys & Aliens.
